Adams Creek

April 16th

Still got those cold south winds. We head south on the canal, pass by Hobucken which turned out just to be a fish shack. Mental note don't read too much into cruising guides' description of cozy. Came out into Bay River, entered Neuse River and rather sadly passed up Oriental, NC. It sounded like a great place for a sailor to visit, but we were passing it at lunch time and time is of the essence as they say.

After crossing the Neuse we pick up the canal again heading south, south, south. We make it a good way before stopping at Adams Creek. It was more a boatyard than a marina, but had everything we needed. It was nice to tie up somewhere for a change and get a shower. Ate on the boat, nothing really close to eat.
